Here are a selection of testimonials from two of our recent volunteers who have now gone on to further education:

"Thank you so much for giving me the opportunity to be part of the club! I've enjoyed it so much and will miss it! I'll be back whenever I'm home!"

"I would just like to say a massive thank you to you and everyone else at Upside Down Swimming Club for giving me the opportunity to volunteer at the club. It has been an amazing experience and I have loved every second."

From a Mum:

"The Upside Down Swimming Club has provided my daughter with a new found confidence despite her difficulties. The Club support her in a reassuring and caring manner which enables her to take instruction and I'm delighted with her progress.

Credit to the team who use their patience and understanding of children with special needs to allow them to access skills which us as parents didn't think would be possible.

But above all my daughter is having the time of her life in the water."

"From an ex volunteer who is now at University:

" The (swimming) club here is called The Charnwood Foxes and I joined as a helper and there was one other teacher type person there. They left on my third week so I was on my own after doing the lessons. I've got some more helpers along now so it's all going really well. The structure of it is a little different to UDSC as it is a general pool session for any disabled people and there's families and if they want we give free one-two-one lessons to them. They typically get 15 minute lessons weekly but this varies with the number of helpers and attendees as the lessons aren't official there isn't the same regular attendance. Currently about 10 people have lessons a week!"
